weeks 15 and 16

i'm 16 weeks (2 days)!

in the last week, i've left my job, my old city, and my entire adult life and relocated to chicago. i also went from 15 to 16 weeks pregnant while helping (minimally) to pack up my life only to unpack it again. it was a blast. and i was sick. i'm better now and feeling so great. i'm rounder but i don't get morning sickness and i have more energy. i think the move zapped a bit of 2nd tri "get up and go"-ness, because i've had a lingering, 4 day headache which causes me to lounge during the day not napping, but not accomplishing much else. i'm hungry all of the time and try to focus on fruits, vegetables, and an endless supply of corn tortillas containing some form of jalapenos, cheese, and black beans.

in other news, i may or may not be feeling movement. having never grown a tiny human in my body before, i'm not sure what feeling movement is like, so i could be wrong. i felt it once about 2 weeks ago, like a mini flip flop down near my pelvic bone. a lot like going down a plume water ride, when your stomach flips from the extreme downward fall. i brushed it off then, but in the past two or three days i've been feeling that on and off when i lay down after drinking cold water. i don't feel any tiny bubbles, or a bug like crawly thing, or little kicks. but i feel something that i've never felt before. it could be my displaced internal organs, bubbling around more noticeably. or it could be baby h3b. i'll give it more time and see what happens.

i found a doctor in my new city and have an appointment this monday. i have tons of questions about labor and delivery, changing coverage, and figuring out if this new place will be the place i give birth. i'm looking forward to 4 weeks from now when the big ultrasound will tell us if we'll have a little miss h3b or a master h3b. maybe i'll open some sort of gender poll for the 6 people that read ;)

guess away!

I think you're feeling movement :D Yay! We're the same size and that is when I started feeling Eli. It's creepy at first, if you can get past the images of a small alien trying to claw its way out...but cool eventually:)
