what a lie. while, yes, it does happen in the morning, mine actually peaks at about 11 am and lasts for about the rest of the day and into the night. for the third day in a row i have been rendered practically useless for about 2 hours midday. one of these days involved a lengthy nap on my carpeted cement office floor. while i still have not thrown up, the dry heaving, gagging and general discomfort in my stomach region has been less than fun.
sure, i'm happy i have enough hormones to cause this...i get that it's all good in terms of baby growth and being pregnant. but damn, when i wake up at 3 am sweaty, nauseated, and full-bladdered, i dont know what to do. pee first? eat a snack first? pass out from heat exhaustion? it's a toss up.
i'm excited, though. because all this queasiness makes me hope for the best at my appointment next tuesday. i'll be just over 8 weeks and hopefully we'll get to see or hear the little one. and finally, we can tell our family the news (it's true, only two people know right now).
secretive 7 weeks 5 days.
